AMBER ALERT empowers law enforcement, the media and the public to combat abduction by sending out immediate, up-to-date information that aids in the child's safe recovery.

The AMBER ALERT Program has helped in successfully recovering over a dozen children since it was established statewide in California on July 31, 2002.

Real-Time Traffic Advisory

The California Highway Patrol provides Real-Time traffic incidents for all the of Monterey Bay Area.

YARD BURNING GUIDE

THE BURN SEASON WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF SCOTTS VALLEY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT IS DECEMBER 1 THROUGH APRIL 30 ONLY. BURNING OUT OF SEASON MAY RESULT IN A CITATION AND YOU MAY BE LIABLE FOR ALL SUPRESSION COSTS.

Beginning December 1st, open yard burning will be permitted for one- or two-family dwellings ONLY. The burn season will end on April 30th. The Scotts Valley Fire Protection District does not require a permit for this type of burning.
